We think Old Town has the best neighbors anywhere! That's why we love the idea of celebrating National Good Neighbor day right here with all of the people who make our neighborhood so great. National Good Neighbor Day, September 28th, was originally created by a Mrs. Becky Mattson as a way for communities to connect and recognize strong leaders in their neighborhood. In 1978 President Jimmy Carter recognized National Good Neighbor Day with a Presidential Proclamation making it the official day we celebrate how great our neighbors are!
